John
Dyer began
developing, teaching and consulting in the use of software
applications in 1988 working for the Thor Agency in Los
Angeles. He was the lead instructor when Thor was contracted
to train Federal Home Loan Bank examiners to use computers in their
reporting and time keeping of bank examinations. Previously,
all reporting and timekeeping was documented using
typewriters. This project led to John being hired to develop,
and train examiners in the use of, the first automated time-keeping
software for the FHLB. Shortly after completion of the FHLB project, John wrote one of the first attorney time keeping programs for a prominent Los Angeles area law firm. In 2001, John was the co-developer and one of the first instructors of the New Media Program for the University of Maine at Orono and Machias. John's clients include Capitol Records, NBC and children's author Laura Keane. Throughout the years, John has written software for the Mac OS, Windows, X-box and the iOS for iPhone and iPad. If you are interested in one-on-one tutoring, help with an app, or putting together a class for an after-school program, please contact John at Unintentional Software by email at john@unintentionalsoftware.com or by phone at 207-374-9980. |
